In our ongoing commitment to maintaining an efficient and environmentally friendly waste management system, the City of Roseville has begun green waste container audits across our community.
Why green waste audits? The primary goal of these audits is to ensure that all residents are disposing of the correct materials in their designated green waste cans. We believe that by doing so, we not only contribute to the overall cleanliness of our city but also foster an environment-conscious community.
What to Expect? You might spot our staff members inspecting green waste containers in your neighborhood. If they happen to identify unacceptable materials during their audit, a notice will be left on the customer's can to inform them of the problem.
Next steps: slight or minimal contamination. For cases where contamination is slight or minimal, the green waste container will likely be emptied by the driver on that day. The customer will receive a customer service notification as a friendly reminder of what materials are acceptable for disposal in the green waste container.
Addressing moderate or extreme contamination. In instances of moderate or extreme contamination, the green waste container may not be emptied on the regular collection day. The customer service notice left on the can will advise residents to reach out to the City of Roseville Waste Services Customer Service Team, who will guide customers on how to rectify the issue.
Working together for a cleaner tomorrow. This proactive approach is intended to enhance the overall efficiency of waste collection while educating residents on proper waste disposal practices. By working together, the City of Roseville and its residents can contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable, and environmentally friendly community.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to keeping our city green.
