Part 1: Online Module
Provided by hyperlink to the participating teacher, students explore our local watershed and identify exactly where our drinking water comes from. 
Approx. 30-45 min.

Part 2: On Campus Field Trip
Our staff will visit your classroom and guide students on a 2 hour outside field trip utilizing the natural environment adjacent to your school. Together, we will explore where the water goes when it enters a drain outside and whether the quality of that water is suitable for the plants and animals there. And, we’ll “Beat the Drought” in an escape room like activity where students must work in teams to create a Conservation Action Plan.

Part 3: Take Action Project
After completing a field trip with your class, students are challenged to share what they’ve learned in a “Take Action Project” where they develop posters about how and why it is important to protect and conserve water.

Part 1: Online Module
Provided by hyperlink to the participating teacher, students explore statistics regarding the impacts of food waste and conduct a “fridge survey” to reflect on their relationship with food waste. 
Approx. 30-45 min.

Part 2: On Campus Field Trip
Our staff will visit your classroom and lead students through a 1 hour program using models and real materials, exploring the environmental impacts of food waste as it decomposes in aerobic (compost) vs. anaerobic (landfill) environments.

Part 3: Take Action Project
After completing a field trip with your class, students are challenged to share what they’ve learned in a “Take Action Project” where they develop social media campaigns with their group’s chosen waste reduction strategy.
