Thanks for your interest in our PRL Ambassador program!
The Parks, Recreation & Libraries (PRL) Ambassador program is an all-volunteer program. Some volunteer opportunities are specialized and require particular talents, knowledge, skills and abilities as well as a background check. Other positions only require a desire and willingness to make a difference in our community.
You can attend one-time drop-in events or take part in longer term positions where you can be the eyes and ears of parks in your neighborhood or at community events.
Upcoming events:
Mulching Events
Join us and RUFF (Roseville Urban Forest Foundation) for several mulching events. These are great family events. We provide tools, snacks and water. Please wear work clothes and closed-toed shoes. Gloves are available—or bring your own.

Your hands-on participation helps keep these remarkable natural spaces safe and clean for recreation and other beneficial uses. Community Service Credit is available. All volunteers must sign and bring a waiver with them to the cleanup events. An additional signature from a parent or guardian is required for minors under the age of 18 years of age.
Next event TBD
These creek cleanup events are
brought to you by the City of Roseville and Dry Creek Conservancy-Valley
Foothill Watersheds.
Drop-in projects include:
• Park clean-up/beautification projects*
You can also assist us at parks and events in your community by:
• Helping with community events (i.e. Wine Down Wednesday or Concerts in the Park)
• Welcoming and informing park visitors about proper park use
• Reporting maintenance or code of conduct concerns
We hope this program will improve communications between residents, neighborhoods and PRL.
Be sure to sign up for the interest list by completing the form on the right or email [email protected] with any questions.
We’re looking for volunteers who are:
• Enthusiastic, outgoing and friendly
• Willing to jump in and help
• Have knowledge of parks (or willing to learn)
(Ongoing volunteers)
• Willing to attend an orientation training
• Over the age of 18*
• Willing to complete a background check and fingerprinting (no cost to volunteer)*
This program is truly only as successful as the volunteers who are a part of it so as we launch this program, we would love to hear your input on what works best for you or areas that you are interested in volunteering in which aren't yet listed.
Thank you for your interest and we hope to chat with you soon!
*For one-time volunteer opportunities, such as park clean-up, the age requirements and background check may be waived if PRL staff are on-site and volunteer activities are performed by families.
